Shift Gears

April 28, 2010

A one-speed bike is best for a beginner. But a multi-speed mountain bike opens up a whole new world of possibilities.

As you redeem your purpose you’ll frequently need to shift gears. An opportunity plays itself out, so you slow down to look for the next one. Your kids grow more independent, so you speed up your efforts to make a difference. You slip into a rut and just keep trying different gears until you find your way out.

Making it “click” is rarely a downhill, effortless glide. Shifting gears keeps the ride interesting and fun.
